Google has offered a price cut to its early termination fee for its Nexus One phone, this device launched January 2010 with Equipment Recovery Fee of $350 and of course an early termination fee by T-Mobile. Well now it seems according to Mobiletor that Google has dropped the price to $150 and any ETF fixed by the carrier, the $350 device recovery fee is a little expensive especially when you add it up with T-Mobile charging for ETF of $150

Nexus One’s big update can be had without the wait

Android’s devised one of the slickest, most widely-deployed systems for delivering over-the-air operating system updates to smartphones, but there’s a problem: you’ve got to wait until your carrier (or manufacturer) blesses you with them. They’re typically deployed in rolling batches so that it’s easier for the company to do one final test of the code’s veracity and limit potential damage before sending it to a wider audience — but where there’s a will, there’s a way, right? As is often the case with these things, some folks have found a way to get the Nexus One’s glorious new multitouch code on the phone before Google’s willing to give it to you, and for anyone who’s done this before , it’s a fairly standard-issue procedure: copy the update to the root of your microSD card, reboot into recovery mode, and apply the binary.

AT&T Is a Great Partner Says Apple COO Tim Cook

iPhone carrier AT&T is nearing their end of exclusivity with the iconic iPhone , it’s just a matter of speculation as to when said exclusivity will end, and once ended it is expected Verizon Wireless will pick up the iPhone. But just because the exclusivity ends doesn’t mean AT&T will stop offering the iPhone, it just means they will need to fight a lot harder to get customers to purchase the iPhone on their network, which will no doubt be fairly difficult considering the abundance of complaints over network quality in the past

Not quite sure about this one at the moment, things are a little unclear. It has been reported that an upcoming WiMAX enabled handset was on its way in the direction of Sprint. Called the Supersonic, we’re not totally sure why T-Mobile are listed as the carrier on the top?

Portable USB drives have become a cheap data carrier solution,
Flash memory data storage devices of portable USB drives represent the modern alternative to floppy disks. Small, lightweight and with a high storage capacity, portable USB drives make possible the the transport and transfer of videos, movies, documents or photos between computers rapidly and efficiently. The advantages of portable USB drives are superior to the rest of portable storage devices and here we point to compact discs and floppy discs alike. All computer operating systems are compatible with the flash cards, from Windows and Mac OS X to Linux. In terms of technical design, the core of portable USB drives consists of a small printed circuit board protected by a plastic, rubber or metal cover.
Portable Usb Drives are based on a technological combination that led to the design for advantageous data storage environments while achieving a low power consume and maintaining costs low. The applications of the flash memory card cover a huge number of electronic equipment that we depend on, from GPS devices and iPods to MP3 players and digital cameras. Moreover, network administrators use portable USB drives to carry around software for recovery, maintenance or troubleshooting computer operations. This is the comfortable alternative to carrying a pack of drives in CD format.
At present, the very generous storage space available with portable USB drivers gives one the chance to also have installers for updating and system re-installation available within immediate reach. Then, Portable USB drives can also help transfer anti-virus software on an infected computer, contributing to a potential archiving on the host device as well. To further illustrate the extent of the applications for portable USB drivers we should mention the importance of flash memory drives in law enforcement and computer forensics. When Microsoft designed a specific forensic application, the extraction of digital evidence became possible a lot more easily.
Portable Usb Drivers have become an inexpensive data carrier solution, and the average user already considers such a device a piece of highly efficient hardware. With the right technology, a memory flash card can serve as a backup medium in point-of-sale systems. Reliability and resistance, these are two other inherent features of portable USB drives that we should mention before concluding. Pretty different from hard drives, memory flash cards are not fragile and use very little power. All you need to be careful with is not to misplace or leave behind the device that can be easily lost because of the small size.
