Lenovo’s aiming at a narrow niche with its IdeaPad S10-3t , but for those interested in things like “multitouch tablets of the netbook size,” the video after the break would probably tickle your senses. Shortly after going on sale here in the States, the good folks over at Netbook News were able to procure one and unbox the whole thing on film.

Google’s idea with their Nexus One superphone is to move away from the restricting ties of the carrier, thus they offer the Nexus One online themselves. But over in the States the Nexus One only supports T-Mobile, so basically isn’t very open states an article over on engadget .

By all appearances, Google’s trying to break Android free of the surly bonds of the manufacturers and carriers that support it, opening its own online store and selling unlocked Nexus Ones to anyone willing to pony up the $529. Problem is, the Nexus One as we know it today is only available in a configuration that supports North American 3G on AWS spectrum, meaning you’ve got to go with the States’ fourth-largest carrier if you want to blaze — you’ve got no other option.

It’s been a white hot minute since we’ve seen a snazzy new timepiece from the labs at Timex , but it seems that the outfit will finally be dishing out a new GPS-laden watch a year after introducing the Expedition WS4 . Set to debut next month, the Ironman Global Trainer with GPS is easily one of the slimmest, most not -ugly GPS watches we’ve ever seen. At a glance, you’d never know that such features as real-time speed, pace and distance data were included courtesy of the SiRFstarIII module tucked within, and you’ll also get 50 meters of water resistance, a customizable display to showcase four metrics at once and the ability to push performance reports out to your PC

While we can’t say for sure that videogames, as your grandmother insists, do indeed rot your brain, thanks to research conducted at a variety of Universities around the States we know that better gamers tend to have more gray matter than others — at least in certain areas. Kirk Erickson, Ann Graybiel, Arthur Kramer, and Walter Boot worked together to form a study in which 39 participants’ brains were scanned before those subjects were asked to play a game called Space Fortress (which looks a little like an Atari-era Geometry Wars ).
